Childhood
Mosamad Mariom Bagom Maria was born in Jashore district town in 1978, Father Sheikh Golam Panjaton and Mother Rizia Khatun. Maria is their eldest daughter.
Her childhood spent in Jashore district. Maria lost her father when she was very young. Her mother, Rizia Khatun, crossed many barriers to raising her two daughters.
Starting of her musical career
In Bangladesh Music Industry, Mariom Bagom Maria is well known as Mariom Maria.
Nowadays, she is a renowned face by the name of Maria in the BD Music sector.
Mother Rizia Khatun used to sing in her harmonic voice. Maria took her primary education in music from her mother in her childhood. Her mother's mission was that the girl would become a music artist as well as a good student. So when Maria was a three-year-old child, Her mother enrolled her in the Jashore branch of Bangladesh Shishu Academy in the music section. A few days later, child artist Maria Learned singing in "Kochi konthor Ashor." After that, she became included at "Sur Bitan Sangeet Academy" of Music, in Jashore. Afterward, Maria completed specialized training on "Nazrul & classical music" with credit from the "Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy."
Institutional Music Education
In a long way, Maria came in touch with many talented music scholars in her music life.
Institutional music education started at Jashore Shishu Academy. Her first music teacher was Ustad Liaquat Ali Khan. After that, Maria became more skilled, with the help of Ustad Shah Mohammed Morshed and Ustad Mosharraf Hossain. For a long time, she took training from Ostad Sanjib day on various subjects of music.
In 1999, Maria got listed as a modern song artist in Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television.
Maria is currently performing as a special grade artist of Bangladesh radio and television.
She first came on the TV screen through the newcomer's music program.
Her mother and husband are the inspiration for her devotion to music.
Samina Chowdhury, Subir Nandi, Asha Bhonsle, Manna De are Maria's favorite artists.
She is regularly Performing on stage music besides the musical programs on Radio and Television.
Music Awards
At the age of a teenager, Maria has achieved a National music award for proper music recognition out of many awards. National Child Award Competition, organized by the Bangladesh Shishu Academy under the Ministry of Social Welfare in 1991.
In this, Maria got first place in Hamd/Nat(Islamic music). After that, at the age of fourteen in 1992, she got first place in Rabindra Sangeet at "Chader Hat Festival Children's Prize Competition-92" Organized by Jashore Shilpakala Academy.
In 1994, at the age of 16,
Maria also received the National Award from Nazrul Sangeet at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
she received first prize in the modern Bengali song by the cultural group "Shonket" that year.
Maria has also performed regularly in Dhaka's "Dhanmondi Alliance Francis de Gallery."
Maria has earned a lot of good reputation by performing music in the "Alliance Francis de Gallery" in front of a prominent special class of people from different countries.
Maria has also achieved an international women excellence award-2020. Organized by International Business Center in Jadavpur University of West Bengal. On, 23rd January 2020. This program was held at the Dr. Triguna Sen Auditorium, Jadavpur University Kolkata.
On, 1st September 2019 Maria achieved Recognition of Performance award, Fobana Convention 2019 For her Excellent Performance which was Organized by Bangladeshi American Friendship Society of New York Inc.
Maria has also achieved Swapnarag Honors Award-2020 . Organized by kolkata swapnarag poribar. On, 23rd January 2020. This program was held at the Dr. Triguna Sen Auditorium, Jadavpur University Kolkata.
On 26th November 2017 Maria Achieved Begum Rokeya Memorial of Honor-2017 which was Organized by Banglar Sangeet Dhaka Bangladesh.
On 2nd april 2019 Maria achieved Bangiya Sahitya Sangskriti Samsad Award - 2019 which was Organized by Bangiya Sahitya Sangskriti Samsad. Kolkata.
Professional career
Maria completed her graduation from M.M. College in Jashore in the year 2007 and entered her musical life. She started her first career life as a music teacher. She joined the BIT International English Medium School in Banani, Dhaka. After about two years of her teaching profession at BIT International English Medium School, Maria moved on. From there, she joined as a music teacher in "Bulbul Lolito Kola Academy (BAFA)" of Dhaka. Maria provided institutional music education to a large number of students. In addition to teaching, Maria performs on stage, concerts, and music. Gradually her popularity keeps increasing. From there, many fans grow up, And along with the scene, at the same time, she keeps on getting numerous opportunities from television and radio stations. Including BTV, NTV, Bangla Vision, and other national televisions, Maria performed live concerts in almost all satellite television channels of the country, including BTV. Besides all of these, she also got a platform to become a judge at the show "Talent Hunt," Maria has also been involved organizationally with the Bangladesh Television and Radio Artisan organization for a long time. Maria wants to live within music into everyone's heart, wants to go further in the path of success.
Working Experience
Currently, Mariom Maria is working on a music platform called “Moodsinger” she is the content manager of the platform. She joined on 01-01-2020 to present.
Beside Moodsinger, Mariom Maria is also working at Mediabuzz Ltd. She’s the “Director of media wing” she’s in charge of advertising relations and commutations. She joined on 01-12-2019 to present.
SkytouchFuture Ltd.
Mariom Maria was the “Additional Director” of SkytouchFuture Ltd. She joined the company on 01-01-2018 and left on 13-11-2019.
Deepto TV is one of the renowned TV channels in Bangladesh. Mariom Maria was the Event Coordinator of Deepto TV from 01-01-2017 to 27-11-17.
Before Deepto TV Mariom Maria was in Ekushey TV which is also one of the viewed TV channels in Bangladesh. Mariom Maria worked as a Senior Program Producer in Ekushay Television for 5 and a half years from 01-01-2011 to 19-09-16
STV US
STV US was Maria’s first ever entry to electronic media. She worked there as a “Program Producer” which was script writing and program making. Maria joined on 12-04-2004. On, 30-11-2007 STV US shut down its operation.
URABAN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE PROJECT (UPHCP)
Before going in-to the world of electronic and digital media, Maria worked as a Clinic Counselor. She worked for family planning & child care. She joined in 01-07-2003 and left on 01-07-2004.
Stage Performance
As a stage performer, she’s one of the important and qualified ones. In Bengali songs like folk, modern, Lalon, including other demands of her audiences as Maria performed Urdu and Hindi. She also has records of performing in foreign countries, the USA, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, and India.
First Solo Album
In 1999, Maria’s first solo album was “Prem er Pathshala.” Composed by Late Pronob Ghosh. Which was released from the music label “Sangeeta.” This album featured a variety of folk songs.
Second Solo Album
In 2011, on May, 28th she released an album named "Dub Satari," from the music label G-Series. In the album launch party, there were many honorable guests, Musician Apple Mahmood, Late Abdul Jabbar Khan, actor Abdul Aziz, Sharmili Ahmed, Khairul Alam Shobuj, Toru Mostofa, Rita Banarjee, Solaiman Khoka, and prominent musician Fatema- Tuz-, Johora. Besides, many print and electronic media were there. Along with single albums, she also has many mixed records. Those albums are:

Maria had sung in many movies. The most notable films are: "Shortcut Borolokh," "Baap boro na Shoshur boro," "Zero theke Top Hero," "Hero 2," "Ei tumi shei tumi," "Arpita"etc.
Social Jobs through Music
Maria had given her voice on visual music in Bangladesh Betar and TV organized by UNICEF. The name of this program was "Ma o Shishu Shastho Bishoy," moreover, she performed for the deprived children without any remuneration. All the songs are still there in Bangladesh Betar and TV. Every year these songs are played at festivals. In the future, Maria wants to keep on going with these activities.
"In the future, I want to keep helping those children who are deprived of the benefits a normal human being can get. They are exceptional, and I want to keep helping them with all my heart. Now at this present time, I try to keep my music up along with trends. I expect to gain more crowds and hope to excite the crowd more and more!"
